I've always solved problems sideways. Not because it's efficient, but because it's fun, and because building the wrong solution teaches me more than buying the right one. This series is about solving small problems the unusual way instead, with code, a camera, a sensor, or an idea borrowed from somewhere it doesn't belong. Each entry documents one problem, the over-engineered fix, what I built, and whether it was worth it.
